Seit letzter Woche Donnerstag sind weitere f\u00fcnf Laptops im Asylcaf\u00e9 in der Neckarhalde im Einsatz. Weitere Laptops werden wir voraussichtlich in der kommenden Woche an weitere Initiativen und vermehrt auch an konkrete Einzelpersonen \u00fcbergeben.<\/p>\n
Besser noch als diese Infos sind jedoch unsere Pl\u00e4ne f\u00fcr die Zukunft: Wir wollen bald auch vermehrt Workshops auch auf Englisch anbieten, so dass mehr Menschen Zugang zu unserem Wissen bekommen. Au\u00dferdem freuen wir uns \u00fcber einen neuen Helfer im reboot-Projekt. Er ist aus Syrien und noch nicht lange in Deutschland. Er kann uns sagen, was Fl\u00fcchtlinge wirklich auf ihren Laptops brauchen (unerfreulicherweise: Windows!). Mal sehen was wir mit diesem Wissen anfangen: Linux-f\u00fcr-Einsteiger-Workshops oder lieber doch recht alte Hardware mit Windows (wom\u00f6glich XP?) ausstatten? Bei unserer Windows-Skeptik handelt es sich gar nicht so sehr um grunds\u00e4tzliche grundlose Windows-Abneigung. Wir haben fast ausschlie\u00dflich Lizenzen f\u00fcr Windows XP zur Verf\u00fcgung, welches sehr langsam ist und schon lange nicht mehr mit Sicherheitsupdates versorgt wird. F\u00fcr aktuellere Windows Versionen fehlen uns die Lizenzen, zudem laufen sie auf alter Hardware h\u00e4ufig unzureichend.
