Irish Session Tübingen
Thursday, 21. November @ 19:00 CET - 22:00 CET
The “Tübingen Irish Traditional Music Session” is – just like in Ireland – a relaxed gathering of people who enjoy Irish music and perform in the FabLab Neckar-Alb every first Wednesday and third Thursday each month. Typically, there is no fixed beginning, much less a fixed cessation. Yet from 19:00 we will get started. There is no fixed band. Those who have time drop by. There is no programme.
We play “tunes”, that is (mostly Irish) melodies that are known to those present. The typical instruments are fiddle, guitar, flute (Irish wooden transverse flute), tin whistle, banjo, (button) accordion, uilleann pipes (Irish bagpipes), bouzouki, harp and bodhrán (Irish drum).
In between there’s room for songs where ideally anyone present can join in. Spectators can follow the music and enjoy their drinks all the better.
The Session is happy to see old and new faces among players and guests equally. And if you like it: „Come again, bring friends!
Céad míle fáilte” – a hundred thousand times welcome!
Zusätzlich zu den folgenden Veranstaltungen ist das FabLab in der Regel am Montag und Donnerstag für interessierte Besucher geöffnet.
The FabLab is open on Monday and Thursday. There are additional events and workshops in the calendar.
